This is lovely!! Unique solution. I like the layering and addition of type.

Oh, for crying out loud, Denise! This one actually hurts a little bit - it's so gentle and sad and odd, with the teacup and key. It makes me want to say goodbye to a good friend for the last time just so I could give them this, and I don't think that's a healthy desire!
And it's lovely.
I was looking back through your blog and was really struck by how this style of your illustrations develops.

I think I logged in with the wrong account there. Anyway, please do a book. A booklet. Postcards. Whatever. Blurb let you do individual print runs. Just saying.

That's an awesome take on the theme and fall. I love the scissors tied to the trunk. Thanks for the nice words on my site.

Denise...What a wonderfully sad image...I love it!
you know, usually, on my way to work, I cross by a singing tree. A little cloud of birds live on it. During hot summers they freshen the tree up with their windy songs, and in cold winters, when the tree is loosing all of its leafs, they cover it with their wings.
Some times I would get close to the tree, hug the stem, and always always ALWAYS get a hug back. i like this hug. it's a good hug. it feels like home

I agree with Tanaudel, your work has evolved so beautifully. As usual, you have a wonderfully original (and beautiful)take on a subject.

I like this one a lot. I'm sad to say I've never noticed that the birds take their songs with them when they flee the cold weather.
PS -- It's my PLEASURE to visit your bloggy.

Out of some oddity I missed you last week! Will have to look into that immediately! I can see the ghost of songs past haunting the naked branches! Your work takes me places, I like that!
